Associate Vice-President, Student Engagement
Hi! My name is Josie. I am so excited to be one of your Associate Vice Presidents Student Engagement for the 2026-2027 school year! I am a first year Master’s student in Child and Youth Studies. My research focuses on youth civic engagement, voter turnout, and children’s rights.
I have been a student leader for over four years, working as an orientation coordinator, events coordinator, club executive, and social media manager. Through this experience, I’ve seen the ways in which campus events can build community and support student wellbeing. In this role, I hope to bring students together and make your day a little better by organizing giveaways, events, and activities with the GSA.
Outside of school, I love reading, performing (or anything to do with musical theatre, for that matter!), solving puzzles, and playing video games. My favourite movie is Legally Blonde, and I’ve recently taken up watching hockey in my free time (Go Habs Go!).
