Grad Mentorship

Join Grad Mentoring: Brock University’s Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program for Graduate Students! Learn about the ins and outs of being a grad student at Brock from a grad student colleague while building the connections and community you need.

About the Program

Grad Mentoring is about connection and learning. Whether you’re a new student looking for guidance or an upper-year student ready to give back, Grad Mentoring helps you build meaningful relationships and navigate your Brock experience with confidence.

As a mentee, you’ll be matched with an experienced upper-year student who can help you find your footing. As a mentor, you’ll support new students through their transition, grow as a leader, and make a real impact in your campus community.

The benefits: real support, real connections, and real experiences that make your time at Brock unforgettable!

Become a Mentee

Grad Mentoring connects you with an upper-year student who’s been there before and is ready to help you find your footing. They’ll help you navigate campus life, build connections, and make the most of your time at Brock.

Why Become a Mentee?
– Get personalized guidance and advice from an upper-year grad student
– Build your skills through events, workshops, and conversations
– Build meaningful connections and networks during your time at Brock

How does it work?
1. Complete the mentee application form by telling us a bit about yourself and what you want from the program
2. We’ll match you with an upper-year grad student who aligns with the information you share in your application
3. Attend the kick-off event in September with key campus and community partners and meet your mentor!
4. Stay engaged with your mentor through the year by attending events, making time to meet, and learning new skills through trainings!

What is expected of me?
– Stay in touch with your mentor
– Participate in some programming like events, trainings, and initiatives throughout the year
– Reach out to the Mentorship Lead if you have any questions, feedback, or concerns through the year
– Be authentically you and ask for what you need!

Being a mentee means you don’t have to navigate university alone. When you join Grad Mentorship, you’ll:

  • Get personalized guidance from an upper-year student who’s been in your shoes
  • Build academic, wellness, and life skills through events, workshops, and conversations
  • Make meaningful connections—with peers, campus resources, and the wider Brock community
  • Earn progress in the Campus-Wide Co-Curriculum (CWC) as you participate
  • Become part of a supportive community that will stick with you throughout your degree
