Grad Senate Nominee
As a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences researching the effects of rosemary polyphenols against lung cancer, I bring a strong record of leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to our graduate student community.
I have extensive experience in student governance, serving as a Board member for the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) for four years, including two as Chair. I have represented graduate students on key University committees, including the Senate Graduate Studies Committee, Senate IT and Infrastructure Committee, Senate Academic Review Committee, and FGSPA Graduate Council. Last year, I was honored to receive the GSA President’s Award for dedication and service to the graduate student community.
With Brock facing significant budget challenges, it is critical that informed and experienced student leaders have a seat at the table. If elected as a Graduate Student Senator, I will prioritize transparent communication, advocate for policies that enhance academic and professional development, and ensure that student voices are represented in decisions that impact us. My goal is to foster an environment where all graduate students can thrive academically, socially, and professionally.
I am committed to the responsibilities this position entails and will bring the same passion and diligence I have demonstrated throughout my academic and governance roles. Together, we can strengthen the graduate experience at Brock University.
